روتر سیسکو CISCO 1841 یک روتر سرویس های یکپارچه یا ISR است که سرویس های امن دیتا ،صدا و ویدیو فراهم می آورد.روتر سیسکو CISCO 1841 از پروتکل های مسیریابی OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, EIGRP, DVMRP, PIM-SM, IGMPv3, GRE, PIM-SSM, static IPv4 routing, static IPv6 routing, policy-based پشتیبانی می کند و دارای 512 مگابایت DRAM است که تا 1 گیگابایت قابل افزایش است و 64 مگابایت FLASH که تا 256 مگابایت قابل افزایش است.

روتر سیسکو CISCO 1841 با استاندارد های از قبیل IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.1Q, IEEE 802.1ah, IEEE 802.1ag مطابق می باشد. همچنین روتر از الگوریتم های رمزگذاری از قبیل SSL و روتر از پروتکل  شبکه IPSec  و پروتکل های مدیریتی SNMP 3, HTTP, SSH-2  پشتیبانی می کند.روتر سیسکو CISCO 1841 از IOS نوع IP Base می کند و قابلیت هایی خوبی مانند راه اندازی تانلینگ و VPN ، پشتیبانی از MPLS ، فیلتر کردن URL ، رمز نگاری سخت افزار حفاظت به وسیله فایروال را فراهم می آورد.

Cisco 1841 Integrated Services Router is part of the Cisco 1800 Integrated Services Router Series which complements the Integrated Services Router Portfolio. Cisco 1841 router offers embedded hardware-based encryption that enabled by an optional Cisco IOS Software security image. It delivers further enhancement of VPN performance with an optional VPN acceleration module; an intrusion prevention system (IPS) and firewall functions; interfaces for a wide range of connectivity requirements, including support for optional integrated switch ports; plus sufficient performance and slot density for future network expansion and advanced applications as well as an integrated real-time clock.
